Controller - Succession to CFO position for growing Omaha company - HEMPHILL EXCLUSIVE
Due to exciting growth, our client is creating a new position for a Controller to join their team. This is a great opportunity to oversee a stellar accounting team and work closely with a fantastic CFO who will mentor and coach you to step into their role when they are ready to retire in the next few years.
- Take full ownership of the accounting department and lead all monthly close/reporting activities, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Payroll, and Reporting.
- Partner with the CFO through the budget process, allowing you to build relationships with the leadership team and understand the cadence and tempo of budget season.
- Work closely with the CFO and learn about Risk Management, Contracts, Legal, Information Technology, Human Resources, and other functions that flow up to a CFO in a growing company.
- Take ownership of special projects tied to business expansion, acquisition analysis and integration, technology projects, and ad hoc strategic initiatives.
- Coach, develop, and lead your team while continuing to hire and grow your team as the company expands.
