Job Requirements / Description

Liberty FCU, a full-service credit union, is currently seeking a Consumer Lending Sales Professional with excellent interpersonal and organizational skills to perform loan requests for members over the phone in our direct lending department. Consumer lending experience is preferred. The candidate will be scheduled for approximately a 40-hour work week to include occasional Saturdays on a rotating basis. Duties and Responsibilities:
Participate in the lending call center phone rotation and provide exceptional service to the members.

  • Be a professional, courteous, motivated loan officer with a positive attitude.
  • Perform follow-up phone calls in a timely manner to expedite loan requests.
  • Perform loan requests in a manner in which to develop a lending relationship with the member.
  • Meet member needs by maintaining appropriate knowledge of all credit union products and services.
Process consumer loan and credit card application requests:
  • Initiate the loan interview process to complete loan applications.
  • Pull credit reports, calculate ratios, and go over loan details.
  • Provide NADA vehicle information and Carfax reports to loan applicants, as needed.
  • Develop a professional sales approach for selling loan protection products.
  • Adhere to all credit union lending policies and procedures.
  • Prepare loan documents for closings via Adobe Sign or branch locations.
  • Inform members about correct process for vehicle titling and lien perfection.
  • Book and disburse loans.
  • Ensure proper documentation is archived and imaged for each loan request.
  • Have a working knowledge of the lending operation software.
Strive to meet monthly individual and departmental sales goals.
Strive to meet cross-selling and departmental goals by offering payment protection, GAP, MRC and refinances from other institutions on all loan requests.
Complete all required compliance training.
Maintain a high level of confidentiality and security when dealing with members and confidential information.
Develop an understanding of credit union history, philosophy, organization, bylaws, and operational procedures.
Develop a working knowledge of the credit union's data processing system and word processing software.
Any other duties assigned by management.
