To learn more, visit .The Analyst, Fin Cons role supports a senior member of the finance consulting team with wide range of finance-related public sector human services consulting and operational engagements. Projects will evolve over time and may include public funded grant and stipend program administration projects. This role may also support compliance audits or monitoring related to public funds usage. The role may also serve as an analyst and quality assurance reviewer on projects which recommend human service provider payment rates by collecting and analyzing a variety of cost and service data.The Analyst, Fin Cons will serve on up to four simultaneous projects and will be required to balance various, competing project deadlines. This role will be responsible for analyzing data to inform stakeholders of meaningful conclusions, execute payments, and complete bank reconciliations with a high attention to detail. Other duties may include performing Quality Assurance reviews for government cost studies, assistance with monitoring projects reviewing spending activities of grant recipients to ensure public funds are used on allowable expenditure, and other special projects and tasks as assigned. Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, is essential for this role.Manages, updates, and maintains grant payment trackers in Excel along with other reporting tools.Creates payment batches for import to banking system and produces notices to award recipients.Performs quality control procedures over payment data to ensure accuracy, completeness, and internal consistency among various data sources.Follows existing protocols, and assists in the creation of new processes, to ensure efficiencies in finance and operational processes.Assists in preparation of various ad hoc reports for project managers and finance team leaders.Participates in weekly internal and client-facing project calls.Assists with the preparation of the monthly reconcialition of bank accounts for the proper reporting of grants funds management.Assists with other projects as an auditor, grant application and financial data reviewer.Assists in the creation of process workflow documents.Demonstrates strong working knowledge of finance and accounting.Demonstrates strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel.Detail and process improvement oriented, with an orientation toward continuous quality improvement.Team player - works collaboratively to deliver high quality project performance.Proactive - willingness to jump in and execute.
