Responsibilities
- Must be comfortable with general dentist procedures: restorative, crowns and bridgework, removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, simple and surgical extractions.
- Good bedside manner.
- Ability to work in a team environment.
- Experience with placing implants is preferred but not required.
- Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers, and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene.
- Examine the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health.
- Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans.
- Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated.
- Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate.
Qualifications
Education/Experience Required:
- Experience required.
- Unrestricted and current state license in good standing.
- CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required.
- Possess strong bedside manner and great communication skills.
- Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry.
- Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is an asset.
Compensation
$300,000 yearly.
