Responsibilities

  • Must be comfortable with general dentist procedures: restorative, crowns and bridgework, removable dentures, anterior and molar endodontic procedures, simple and surgical extractions.
  • Good bedside manner.
  • Ability to work in a team environment.
  • Experience with placing implants is preferred but not required.
  • Teach patients how to use recommended devices for orthodontics and dental appliances, such as dentures and retainers, and educate on the importance of good oral hygiene.
  • Examine the patients’ teeth thoroughly using diagnostic tools, procedures, and instruments to spot signs of dental diseases and determine the overall state of dental health.
  • Supervise dental assistants, dental hygienists, associate dentists, and administrative staff, and communicate with support staff regarding patient care plans.
  • Implement and coordinate preventive dental care treatments such as flossing, fillings, sealants, x-rays, and fluoride applications, and cosmetic dental services such as whitening when indicated.
  • Seek consultation with dental specialists, such as pediatric dentists, orthodontists, endodontists, or periodontists when appropriate.

Qualifications

Education/Experience Required:

  • Experience required.
  • Unrestricted and current state license in good standing.
  • CPR, BLS, and NPI certifications are required.
  • Possess strong bedside manner and great communication skills.
  • Board Eligible and/or Board Certified in General Dentistry.
  • Relevant knowledge of dental standards and guidelines, public health standards, and dental medicine trends and advances is an asset.

Compensation

$300,000 yearly.
