WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR

We’re looking for an outstanding Art Director to combine their experience, problem-solving abilities, team leadership, critical thinking, and creativity. This leader will implement the creative vision for Jordan Brand initiatives through Art Direction, supporting premium Jordan Brand consumer experiences and the Jordan Design ethos.

WHAT YOU WILL WORK ON

As the Art Director – Art Direction, you will lead a variety of projects, working closely with Producers, Designers, and Writers to deliver well-crafted and innovative creative vision. You will drive design excellence and collaboration across multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring that the team delivers multidisciplinary creative against the seasonal strategy. You will maintain and foster relationships with external partners (design agencies, photographers, producers, etc.), creatively directing and leading work to ensure alignment with project expectations and Jordan Brand standards.

WHO YOU WILL WORK WITH

This role leads Designers and Junior Designers and reports directly to the Sr Director - Art Direction Studio, while regularly partnering with other Art Directors, Designers, 365 Studio Designers, Brand Narrative Director, and Brand Marketing leaders.

WHAT YOU BRING

  1. Bachelor's degree or higher in graphic design or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  2. Minimum 8 years of relevant Graphic Design or Art Direction experience.
  3. Ability to build seasonal concepts and provide the team with both short and long-term vision.
  4. Understanding of the Brand Creative/Marketing process.
  5. Experience working and communicating directly with Brand Marketing partners.
  6. Familiarity with Adobe programs including Photoshop and Illustrator.
  7. Experience building inspiration/concept presentations and mood boards for seasonal concepts and direction.
  8. Clear, concise, and thoughtful presentation/communication style (strong verbal and written skills).
  9. Ability to ensure key Brand Creative gates/dates are met and lead cross-functional teamwork as appropriate.
  10. Expertly manages relationships with artists, influencers, design agencies, architects, photographers, producers, project managers, and freelancers.
  11. Demonstrates expert-level knowledge of current trends in color, technology, communications, experience, art, and other design influences.
  12. Creates presentation materials that effectively communicate design concepts to various audiences.
