Overview
The Product Specialist is a key member of the Workers' Compensation Product Team. Their primary role is to ensure that we are properly aligned between the expectations/requirements of compliance & regulatory and the demands/abilities of underwriting & operations. Maintains a solid understanding of AmTrust's mission, vision, and values. Upholds the standards of the AmTrust organization.
Responsibilities
- Monitor state updates and evaluate any trends worth highlighting
- Maintains Workers Compensation product team tracker to ensure all logs are up to date
- Organizes and maintains current form and rate filing information for AUI Programs
- Oversee multiple web services, test new services, check for bugs in services
- Assist with projects as assigned by management
- Assist with rate/assessment/form/compliance updates
- Assist with bugs in rate/forms/assessments/compliance
- Manages underwriting bulletins for underwriting department regarding changes or announcements related to lines of coverage
- Prepare and monitor selected filings in SERFF
- Interacts with carrier for changes in filed program for rates and forms
- Oversee E-Mod Tool and multiple Web Services
- Keeps current with market trends and demands.
- Performs other functionally related duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required:
* Associates degree/Some college or equivalent work experience
* Strong technical analytical skills, preferred strong knowledge of Property/Casualty business and products with emphases on worker's compensation
* Knowledge of Microsoft Applications and the ability to learn new software programs
* Professional telephone etiquette and excellent oral and written communication skills
* Detailed orientated with the ability to multi-task
Preferred:
* Experience working in workers compensation and/or Property/Casualty commercial line insurance
* SQL experience if applicable
