The Opportunity

As we continue to grow as one QuidelOrtho, we are seeking a Director Supply Chain Analytics. Reporting to the Vice President of Supply Chain, the Director, Supply Chain Analytics will build strong analytics competency that enables better data-driven decisions. This individual will be asked to articulate the analytics strategy and make sure all efforts are in full alignment with supply chain priorities. The role manages and orchestrates different technical and business talent and is a key driver in advancing supply chain capabilities through technology and process innovation.

This position can be in Raritan, NJ, San Diego, CA or Work From Home.

The Responsibilities

  1. Lead and own global supply chain analytics strategy across the end-to-end value chain with respect to data quality, data governance, operational reporting, BI, and predictive analytics.
  2. Define team charter, structure, governance, manage the performance of the supply chain analytics team and ensure alignment of team's focus with strategic objectives.
  3. Develop strategy to monitor and evaluate global inventory and demand data trends and deliver productivity opportunities that improve delivery and efficiency across the enterprise.
  4. Define overarching metric tree and targets to improve delivery, cost, quality, and service.
  5. Lead the delivery of business insights by implementing data analytics platforms and have the subject matter expertise and experience in influencing senior leadership decisions.
  6. Define the process of identifying and prioritizing analytics initiatives.
  7. Build strong relationships with partners across the supply chain to build the future of supply chain analytics.
  8. Coordinate cross-functional solutions, integration & divestiture efforts in the manufacturing & supply chain space including but not limited to inventory, manufacturing, planning, logistics, procurement.
  9. Communicate project objectives, approach, options, and plans to global audiences with confidence and secure funding for additional investments in talent and technologies.
  10. Recruit additional team members as needed and support their career development and progression.
  11. Work with supply chain and business leaders to build a framework for tracking usage of analytics solutions and capturing benefits and/or ROI.
  12. Support global user community in a wide range of support activities such as issue resolution, troubleshooting, system enhancements, report development, system setups and configuration, and ongoing training activities.

  1. Internal: Leaders of supply chain functions such as distribution, manufacturing, planning, and procurement, Leaders of regional commercial groups, customer services, and business units.
  2. External: Suppliers.

KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS

  1. Ability to articulate the analytics vision and team mission.
  2. Ability to influence, engage senior supply chain and business leaders to promote analytics and secure support and funding.
  3. Ability to build and manage teams with diverse backgrounds and skill sets, to empower and develop talent.
  4. Basic proficiency in technology and advanced analytics to establish credibility with data science and engineering roles.
  5. Ability to develop and deliver training material.
  6. Data gathering, and quantitative and qualitative data analysis, including business process metrics and measures linking to business KPIs.
  7. High levels of personal integrity when conducting the professional affairs of the organization and dealing with sensitive and confidential data relating to risk and cost.
  8. Meet deadlines and work under pressure, with limited supervision.
  9. Well-organized and a high level of attention to detail.
  10. Excellent knowledge of the end-to-end supply chain, with a clarity for understanding the importance and interdependencies associated with each stage of the process - Plan, Source, Make, Deliver.

The Individual

  1. 5-10 years of supply chain planning, FP&A, project/program delivery, solution design, business analytics & reporting, preferably in the Life Sciences industry.
  2. 5+ years of leadership experience in the relevant field.
  3. Working knowledge of MS Office Power Platform (BI, Apps, Automate), SQL, Tableau, RPA, and business analytics software.
  4. Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, or related discipline or equivalent experience required; Master's degree preferred.
  5. Additional analytics education, training and/or certification through online courses and/or professional organizations.

Work Environment

The work environment characteristics are representative of an office and up to 75% of time at desk, standing or sitting extended periods of time. Will require domestic and international travel up to 20%. Ability to travel on short notice.

Physical Demands

No strenuous physical activity, though occasional light lifting of files and related materials (up to 10 lbs.) is required.

Salary Transparency

The salary range for this position takes into account a wide range of factors including education, experience, knowledge, skills, geography, and abilities of the candidate, in addition to internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary range for this position is $128,000 to $218,000 and is bonus eligible.
