Performance Sales Manager
Position Summary
Samsung has developed a proprietary ad platform that leverages unique first-party TV data to help brands connect to their audience as they explore content across desktop, mobile, tablets, and our SMART TVs. Additionally, Samsung TV Plus is one of the largest and most quickly growing free, ad-supported TV (FAST) services in the US. The Samsung Ad Platform delivers high-quality audience targeting powered by three key components: a highly engaged streaming video viewer, first-party audience data at scale, and world-class data science.
We are currently looking for a talented account executive focused on growing revenue and building new relationships with performance-driven agencies and advertisers. Performance Sales is one of Samsung Ads’ fastest-growing customer categories and is inclusive of many national and regional advertisers. The ideal candidate should have a passion for streaming video, expertise in data-driven audience activation, a comprehensive understanding of measurement solutions, and a pulse on new multi-channel advertising technologies. This individual must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients, and have a proven ability to close deals. Additionally, this sales executive will be the consummate team player and have the ability to work collaboratively across the sales organization within a fluid and fast-paced environment.
This individual should have existing relationships across performance, direct response, and direct-to-consumer teams, including key senior-level contacts at agencies and brands. This account executive must be able to think strategically, anticipate how buying decisions are made, uncover the business needs of key clients, and have a proven ability to drive spend through Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Marketplace (PMP), and Insertion Order (IO) buy types. This position will carry an annual revenue goal.
This Performance Seller position is based in New York with domestic US travel as needed, occasional visits to the product/engineering offices in Mountain View, CA. You will report to our Performance Sales Lead. Responsibilities:
- Build strong relationships with named advertisers, agencies, and programmatic trading desks.
- Develop a deep technical understanding of the Samsung Ads platform, capabilities, and unique inventory (including Samsung TV Plus).
- Create a plan to build and grow Samsung Ads’ business with named agencies and accounts.
- Continuously provide value to your customers and serve as a trusted consultant to drive advertising growth with Samsung Ads.
- Monitor daily clearance rate across assigned accounts and work with product and support teams to troubleshoot any issues.
- Act as an internal champion for your advertising customers across Samsung.
Required Experience:
- Deep understanding of the video and connected TV media ecosystem.
- 5+ years of industry or relatable experience with a significant portion spent working at a TV network group, video streaming service, or SSP.
- Proven track record of securing and growing spend from advertisers and agencies via all buy types: Programmatic Guaranteed (PG), Private Marketplace (PMP), and Insertion Order (IO).
- Successful internal and external relationship management.
- Experience working in both entrepreneurial and established corporate cultures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, strong attention to detail, and good follow-through.
- Talent at explaining complex topics in simple terms in person, over the phone, or video conference.
- Bachelor's Degree; MBA or other advanced degree a plus.
Preferred Experience:
- Experience in the performance, direct response, and direct-to-consumer space.

The salary range for this role is expected to be between $145,000 and $165,000 plus an annual bonus of up to 80%. Actual pay will be determined considering factors such as relevant skills and experience, and comparison to other employees in the role.
