Purpose

As an Analyst III, you will be a part a professional team responsible for the development of key financial targets including the 5 year business plan, annual budget and periodic forecasts, quarterly performance reports. You will provide managerial oversight and more complex analysis to deliver on financial targets, and support decisions from a financial perspective

Accountabilities

Forecasting

  • With limited supervision, manages the development, coordination and consolidation of all aspects of the 5 year Business Plans, which must be prepared under both GAAP and IFRS methodologies, including strategy, quarterly forecasts and supporting financial to enable the business partners to manage their Capital and O&M expenditures

Budget

  • With limited supervision, prepares budget and analysis, forecasting, cost control, performance measurement, benchmarking, operational metrics and financial

Internal Controls

  • Independently ensures that the financial functions performed in the business unit are properly aligned and comply with corporate strategic plans, policies, procedures and internal controls in order to contribute to the achievement of corporate goals

Planning and Analysis

  • With limited support from Manager, develop financial and allocation recommendations to provide business partners with design solutions having a significant impact on Operations business performance in the short-and longer-term.
Education and Experience
  • University - Bachelor degree or equivalent
  • Minimum Experience required 5+ years
  • Demonstrated strong analytical capabilities and communication skills.
  • Proficient computer skills including Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint
  • etc.)
  • Ability to establish a high level of confidence with various management
  • personnel
  • Strong experience in preparation, presentation and interpretation of
  • financial performance information, plans and reports to business
  • management teams and/or Group Financial Control.
  • Demonstrated ability to work in a large Global organization under GAAP
  • and IFRS disciplines.
  • Demonstrates extensive knowledge of the accounting, finance and treasury issues and the ability to translate financial policies into planning and reporting processes and procedures identifying the multiple layers of a problem and providing a value of different solutions
  • Strong understanding financial methodologies, including financial analysis, return calculations, and utility/rate based economics.
  • Strong spreadsheet and analytical skills.
