Responsibilities
  • This position is accountable for operating the C.T. scanner, transportation of patients to and from the
    department, handling telephone scheduling of inpatients and outpatients.
  • The incumbent is responsible for calling the physician with the report of the exam. Must be able to start an IV line to administer contrast fluid.
  • Must demonstrate knowledge of contrast media injections and reactions. The incumbent must be able to
    demonstrate proficiency in operating the PACS computer system.
  • Will participate in performance improvement initiatives.
  • Will assist with other activities as deemed necessary for the day to day operation of
    the department.

Qualifications

Job Requirements:

  • Vocational / Technical Education
  • Be registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (A.R.R.T.) or registry eligible.
    • If registry eligible upon hire they must become registered within one year of employment and maintain their
      registry while employed.
  • BLS Certification
  • Previous experience

Preferred Job Requirements:

  • Advanced certification in CT
