My client is a global manufacturer that specializes in producing floor mats for cars and trucks using injection molding techniques. Job Description
The responsibilities of the Senior Quality Engineer will include the following:
  • Ensure ongoing compliance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Lead cross-functional teams to develop and revise Process Control Plans, Manufacturing Process Plans, FMEAs, and Process Masters.
  • Initiate and manage follow-up actions for Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAR/PAR).
  • Oversee activities related to Claims and Non-Conforming Products, including the processing of necessary internal and external documentation.
  • Review Material Test Reports for adherence to order specifications and submit them to customers.
  • Record quality-related data, such as nonconformances and first-pass quality, into QA databases.
  • Create quality reports and update monthly Key Performance Indicator (KPI) data.
  • Prepare First Article and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP) submission packages.
  • Conduct Internal Quality Audits in accordance with IATF 16949 standards.
  • Manage supplier quality activities, including audits and surveys.

The Successful Applicant
A sucessful Senior Quality Engineer will have the following:
  • Experience in the automotive industry
  • Familiarity with IATF 16949 and/or ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
  • Knowledge of injection molding processes
  • Experience with PPAP (Production Part Approval Process)
  • Background in auditing
  • Ability to address customer complaints
  • Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
