The Opportunity:

Wellesley Country Club seeks an experienced and dedicated Director of Outside Services to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for improving the golf experience, be a positive team player, have exceptional organizational skills, a desire to enrich and mentor caddies and a strong commitment to providing the highest level of service to the members and their guests.

Responsibilities:

  1. First Point of Contact: The Director of Outside Services will be the first point of contact for our members and guests, responsible for ensuring world-class service and a warm atmosphere.
  2. Personality: Must be outgoing and personable, knowing all members and guests, and building professional relationships.
  3. Leadership: Manage an outside staff of approximately 15 team members, including recruiting, training, and performance monitoring.
  4. Daily Play Management: Proactively manage daily play, ensuring members and guests are greeted and informed.
  5. Golf Cart Fleet Maintenance: Oversee the maintenance of 72 golf carts and ensure they are in optimal condition.
  6. Caddie Program: Organize daily caddie play and engage members to facilitate the caddie experience.
  7. Tournament Operations: Be knowledgeable of all events and promote upcoming tournaments.
  8. Bag Room Management: Oversee the cleanliness and welfare of over 500 golf bags stored throughout the season.
  9. Practice Facilities: Ensure staff are in place to maintain a world-class practice facility.
  10. Club Repair: Manage the regripping of approximately 700 clubs a year.

Compensation Package:

  • 12 Month Position
  • “In-Season” April to November
  • “Off-Season” December to March
  • Compensation package is competitive and commensurate with experience
