The College of Science, Health, and Pharmacy provides students with a health and science foundation as well as innovative courses of study emphasizing interdisciplinarity and civic engagement. The College offers courses on Roosevelt’s Chicago campus and online.

Roosevelt University’s Health Informatics Master’s Degree Program seeks multiple adjunct instructors to teach various courses for the Fall 2024 and Spring 2025 semesters with expertise in one or more of the following areas:

  • Assessment
  • Teaching professional, technical or public writing

  • HIN 460 Social and Organizational Issues in Health Informatics (Hybrid)
  • HIN 420 Clinical and Administrative Systems (Online)
  • HIN 430 Analysis and Design of Health Information Systems (Online)
  • HIN 410 Principles in Health Informatics (Online)
  • HIN 440 Advanced Data Management and Analytics in Healthcare (Hybrid)
  • HIN 450 Advanced Quantitative Methods in Health Informatics (Hybrid)

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required:

  • A Master’s Degree in Health Sciences, Data Science, Computer Science, or related field, preferably with coursework in composition theory.
  • 1-2 years of prior experience teaching at the university level.

Years of Experience Required: 1-2 years teaching at the university level.

Required Education: Masters Degree

Certification/Licensure Required: N/A

Minimum Qualifications: Refer to Knowledge, Skills and Abilities above.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working with at-risk and/or first-generation college students.
  • Experience and/or published writing through contract, freelance or regular employment in the field.

Equipment Operated: Basic office equipment (desktop computer, copier/multi-function device, fax, and telephone).

Working Conditions: Normal climate-controlled office environment is provided. Job is largely sedentary, but there is a need to move about the office and buildings frequently. Occasional bending, stooping, lifting, pushing and/or pulling is required (typically less than 10 pounds).
