**Job Title:** Registered Nurse (RN)
**Job Specialty:** Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum (LDRP)
**Job Duration:** 13 weeks
**Shift:** Nights, 3x12 Hour Shifts
**Guaranteed Hours:** 36.00 per week
**Experience:** Minimum of two years of nursing experience
**License:** Licensed to practice as a Registered Nurse
**Certifications:**
- Basic Life Support (BLS) for Healthcare Provider certification (AHA or ARC)
- Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification (AHA or ARC)
- Association of Women's Health, Obstetric and Neonatal Nurses (AWHONN) - Intermediate level
**Must-Have:** Ability to circulate for C-sections and triage for Obstetrics (OB)
**Job Description:**
- **Clinical Nursing Care:** Provide competent nursing care consistent with professional standards. Deliver patient care using the nursing process in a hospital setting.
- **Education and Development:** Participate in identifying and meeting personal learning needs. Attend educational programs and utilize patient education materials relevant to the patient population.
- **Assessment and Planning:** Assess readiness to learn and developmental levels of patients/family/caregivers. Collaborate with patients/families to prepare or update care plans.
- **Implementation and Evaluation:** Demonstrate competence in patient care with complex problems, including physical, psychosocial, educational, and safety aspects of care. Organize and prioritize care according to patient and family needs.
- **Leadership and Communication:** Develop goals to promote professional growth, participate in unit goal achievement, and effectively use communication systems. Provide feedback to colleagues and promote cost-effective care.
- **Patient Assessment and Advocacy:** Recognize data from complex situations to determine priorities for care. Develop relationships with families to advocate for patient and family needs.
- **Research and Professional Development:** Engage with clinical research and bring ideas to the team for improved practice.
Note: Educational requirements include a Nursing Diploma or an ADN/ASN from an accredited school of Nursing. A BSN or MSN is preferred but not mandatory.
