Position Summary Information

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, develop, coordinate, implement, and supervise a variety of workshops and varied professional development opportunities for large groups, small groups, and individual professional development to include both full-time and part-time faculty.
  • Establish a centralized digital repository of teaching and research resources and oversee the distribution of these resources to support the development of the instructional community.
  • Collaborate with Center for Teaching and Learning faculty team members in supporting and meeting the pedagogical and research needs of individual faculty members.
  • Stay abreast of literature on teaching and learning and network with national groups and individuals.
  • Facilitate discussions on topics related to the scholarship of teaching and learning and the improvement of teaching.
  • Work with various entities to identify grant opportunities and develop proposals to support endeavors of the Center.
  • Additional duties as required.

Education/Qualifications:

  • A Master’s degree or higher.
  • Prior experience working in a Center for Teaching and Learning on a college campus.
  • Record of teaching excellence at the college level.
  • Prior experience leading faculty development that contributed to measured, enhanced student success, particularly among diverse first-generation students.
  • Expertise in educational technology.

Salary: Commensurate with experience, qualifications, and university’s resources.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Doctorate or terminal degree.
  • Experience pursuing and obtaining grant support for curriculum design or faculty development.
  • Experience with generative AI.
