**Job Title:** CT Technologist

**Experience:** Minimum one year of radiographic experience required; one year of CT experience preferred
**License:** State license required
**Certifications:** ARRT certification in CT required; BLS certification issued through the American Heart Association required within one month of hire date; IV certification preferred
**Must-Have:** Advanced knowledge of contrast media, radiographic equipment, cross-sectional anatomy, radiographic positioning, medical terminology, and proficiency in starting IVs
**Job Description:**
- Perform computed tomographic procedures, including biopsies, as requested by physicians
- Collaborate closely with the radiologist to meet the needs of patients and physicians
- Practice ALARA (As Low As Reasonably Achievable) for radiation safety
- Confirm positive identification before performing all exams
- Provide patient care while obtaining diagnostic quality images for radiologist interpretation
- Check and chart contrast media usage appropriately and monitor for patient reactions
- Manage patient flow and collect pertinent medical information
- Perform QA/QC procedures in accordance with ACR guidelines
- Start, maintain, and remove IVs and operate a power injector
- Maintain equipment and exam rooms, reporting any malfunctions promptly
- Exhibit strong teamwork abilities and fluid communication with colleagues
- Physically able to lift, position, push, or transfer patients and equipment exceeding 50 pounds regularly
