Our collaborative, cross-functional teams are committed to innovation, integrity, continual learning and strong execution.What You ll Do:Provide systems engineering leadership and technical guidance and direction to technical teams from development through operational delivery of space and/or ground systems.Interface with and support the Program Management Office and Mission Chief Systems Engineer.Coordinate and interface with internal and external customers, partners and/or subcontractors.Support the development and execution of Concepts of Operations that support customer mission objectives and align with program technical solutions, identifying gaps and opportunities in the deployment process.Lead and support the development and execution of design trade studies.Evaluate technical changes, issues and/or risks against cost, schedule, and technical constraints.Lead and/or support program or engineering technical reviews, FRBs, Tiger Teams and investigations as needed.Utilize MBSE for development of system architectures, concept of operations, and architecture to requirements traceability.Mentor systems engineers assigned to the program and/or others in Mission Systems.Prepare and give technical presentations to customers, management and peers.Maintain a regular and predictable work schedule.Establish and maintain effective working relationships within the department, the Strategic Business Units, Strategic Capabilities Units and the Company. Interact appropriately with others in order to maintain a positive and productive work environment.Perform other duties as necessary.On-Site Work Environment: This position requires regular in-person engagement by working on-site five days each normally scheduled week in the primary work location. Travel and local commute between company campuses and other possible non-company locations may be required.Working Conditions:Work is performed in an office, laboratory, production floor, or cleanroom, outdoors or remote research environment.May occasionally work in production work centers where use of protective equipment and gear is required.May access other facilities in various weather conditions.#IJSRequired Education, Experience, & SkillsBS degree or higher in Engineering or a related technical field is required plus 8 or more years related experience.Each higher-level degree, i.e., Master s Degree or Ph.D., may substitute for two years of experience. Related technical experience may be considered in lieu of education. Degree must be from a university, college, or school which is accredited by an agency recognized by the US Secretary of Education, US Department of Education.A current, active TS/SCI security clearance is required.Customer Relationships: Extensive knowledge of missions and customers across core technologies areas. Knowledge/experience working with critical customer base, established relationships with key personnel within customer community.Demonstrated experience leading multi-disciplinary teams in relevant business environments.Demonstrated experience in developing and analyzing mission concepts, including space, launch, and ground components.Demonstrated experience in all phases of hardware program execution, including early planning, design reviews, manufacture, assembly, integration, test, sell-off, and on-orbit mission operation.Demonstrated experience in systems engineering processes, including requirements development, concept of operations, requirement allocation, change management, verification, and validation.Superb presentation skills with documented presentation experience to senior decision making and technical audiences.Preferred Education, Experience, & SkillsExperience with space and ground system integration.Experience with supplier, subcontractor or other acquisition expertise.Pay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $126610.000 - $215270.000Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
