Job Overview:
The EDI Analyst at ISN is a multi-functional role. The person will support business operations by identifying and resolving concerns involving data exchanges between systems as well as being actively involved in analyzing, implementing, and managing EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processes. A strong understanding of EDI standards and a proven track record in data analysis, systems integration, and project management is required to be successful in this role as well as the willingness to pivot between transactional work and strategic project work.
Location: Based on current business needs, we are considering candidates in the following locations: Florida, Georgia, North Carolina, Virginia, New Jersey, Tennessee, Alabama, Indiana, Ohio, Michigan and Texas
Job Responsibilities:
- EDI Analysis and Management:
- Analyze EDI transactions to ensure compliance with company and industry standards.
- Monitor and troubleshoot EDI data exchanges and resolve discrepancies.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to define and document EDI requirements.
- Assist in the implementation of EDI solutions, including mapping and configuration.
- Work with IT teams to integrate EDI systems with existing applications and databases.
- Provide ongoing support and maintenance for EDI systems, ensuring uptime and reliability.
- Conduct data analysis to identify trends, issues, and opportunities for improvement in EDI processes.
- Generate reports and dashboards to provide insights to management and other departments.
- Develop and maintain documentation for EDI processes and workflows.
- Act as a liaison between internal teams and external partners to facilitate EDI transactions.
- Train and support team members and stakeholders on EDI processes and best practices.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in EDI technology.
- Participate in cross-functional projects related to EDI optimization and system upgrades.
- Evaluate new EDI tools and technologies to enhance operational efficiency.
Qualifications:
Education:
- Minimum formal education required: High School Diploma or equivalent is required
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant subject area (such as business technology or IT) is preferred
- A combination of education and work experience also eligible
- Minimum of 2 years of direct experience in EDI to include data analysis and functional support is required
- Strong analytical experience working with technical and non-technical information
- Experience with project management methodologies
- Familiarity with large databases
- Experience using SQL to run queries and perform data review/analysis
In order to successfully perform this role, the following attributes are required:
- Expert level Excel skills with experience with formula application, performing LOOKUP functions, creation and use of pivot tables
- Solid understanding of EDI standards (e.g. X12, EDIFACT)
- Proficiency in EDI mapping tools and software ex: Softshare, Delta (Liasion), Sterling Integrator, BizTalk, or similar
- Self-motivated, driven to perform at a high level
- Strong attention to detail
- Collaboration, works well within a cross-functional team environment
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal
- Planning & organizational skills, ability to multi-task and deliver multiple work requirements while meeting deadlines
