Job Summary
Edsal seeks a dynamic individual to join our team as the Tool and Die Technician responsible for making and repairing precision parts or other equipment needed for production and maintenance.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Routine sharpening of tool/die equipment
  • Routinely take measurements and mark material for cutting and sharpening dies and other products
  • Remove and install production dies as assigned and keep them in repair
  • Determine and program correct size and speed of machine
  • Ensure machine specifications are consistent
  • Maintain production tooling by replacing and grinding worn tools
Key Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required.
Education and Experience
  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) or combination of education and experience
  • 1-2 years working with dies
  • Experience using a lathe, surface grinder and milling machines
  • 1-2 years of experience using precision tools, preferred
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
  • Basic knowledge of die assembly
  • Knowledge of die tolerances
  • Ability to use micrometers and calipers
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Ability to work 4:30 pm - 3:00 am
