Loyola Medicine Transport is based at Loyola University Medical Center and is part of a three-hospital system including Loyola University Medical Center , Gottlieb Memorial Hospital , and MacNeal Hospital .
What you’ll do:
Are you a dedicated Echo Sonographer looking for a dynamic team to grow with while working for a regional leader in healthcare? Then, join the Loyola team and become Loyola Strong! The Echo Sonographer is responsible for:
- Performing non-invasive cardiac diagnostic procedures on a variety of age-specific populations, including all modalities of stress testing; adult, pediatric and fetal echocardiograms.
- Accurate and timely processing of cardiac reports associated with these procedures and following specific cardiac protocols.
- Adjusting and maintaining cardiac equipment and ensuring patient privacy and safety.
- Adhering to protocols and guidelines set by American Society of Echocardiography (ASE) and Intersocietal Accreditation Commission (IAC)

What you’ll need for this job:
- 6 months – 1 year of previous job-related experience (may be via clinical internship)
- 1-2 years of previous job-related experience preferred.
- HS Diploma required. Associate degree preferred (Graduate of accredited Echocardiography Program-Cardiac Technology)
- Eligibility for:
- Registered Diagnostic Cardiac Sonographer (RDCS) via ARDMS OR
- Registered Cardiac Sonographer (RCS)/Registered congenital Cardiac Sonographer (RCCS) via CCI
- Advanced Cardiac Sonographer (ACS) via CCI
- Must receive one of the above credentials within one year of the date of hire.
- ACLS and/or PALS preferred.
- CPR/BLS - American Heart Association
