The Malaria Portfolio is seeking a senior advisor who is an expert on using digital tools in malaria, disease surveillance, health information systems development, and health sector digitalization to help PATH envision and realize the future of malaria prevention, care and elimination in the digital age.

Responsibilities:

  • Leverage understanding of data and digital health landscape to support national malaria, NTD, and other disease surveillance programs.
  • Lead the development of collaborative, integrated digitally enabled approaches for countries with diverse malaria stakeholders.
  • Support partners and malaria programs with the development of digital and data governance standards.
  • Support country Ministries of Health with the development of geo-registries and improving geographical data.
  • Advise country-based teams on the implementation of technology platforms for key malaria indicators.
  • Facilitate strategy discussions for digitalization in the malaria space with donors and internally at PATH.
  • Connect digital activities within PATH's programs to leverage lessons learned and support implementation of digital health programs.
  • Link PATH Malaria's digital health activities to broader global digital health investments.
  • Design partnerships for data and digital health within malaria.
  • Support the development of proposals for additional resources for digital transformation priorities.
  • Represent PATH's malaria and digital experience internally and externally.
  • Supervise and mentor junior technical staff members.

Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of experience designing and implementing digital health programs.
  • Advanced technical knowledge of malaria, including existing digital tools.
  • Experience with a broad range of digital health tools.
  • Strong digital system design and architecture skills.
  • Experience in systems integration and implementation.
  • Knowledge of international health interoperability patterns and architectures.
  • Experience with data storage and management approaches.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Ability to multi-task and effectively prioritize work.
  • Ability to work as a member of multidisciplinary teams.
  • Ability to travel up to 30% percent.
  • Proficiency in English and French required.

Location: Preferred: London, Geneva, Brussels
Will also consider: PATH Africa Offices, US East Coast (Washington DC or remote)
