Description
In this role, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding battery life and power efficiency to our customers. This involves close collaboration in a cross-functional team of software developers, QA engineers, hardware engineers, and project managers.
Responsibilities include:
- Driving bug fixes and power optimizations to ensure that all new Mac products meet their battery life and power targets.
- Collecting, analyzing, and presenting power data on all in-development Mac platforms.
- Identifying, isolating, and root causing problem areas using debugging and data analysis skills.
- Designing tests to assess power impact of new HW/SW features.
- Continuously improving test coverage, methodology, and efficiency.
Minimum Qualifications
- Understanding of computer architecture, operating system concepts, EE fundamentals, and concepts of power consumption and power management.
- Ability to dive deep technically, learn new technologies, and understand the small technical nuances of a system.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills and experience presenting data to cross-functional teams and/or management.
- Experience in test planning, validation, uncovering issues, and driving issues to resolution with engineering teams.
Preferred Qualifications
- BSEE/CS or equivalent experience preferred.
