What our Mechanical Engineers Do:
- Function as Engineer of Record for mechanical scope.
- Develop schematic level information and document project work in accordance with codes, SMRT, and industry standards.
- Supervise quality and efficient production of contract documents.
- Perform modeling and calculations.
- Research specifications and materials.
- Review and respond to contractor submittals and RFIs.
- Visit project sites for existing conditions assessments, construction progress observation, and project closeout.
- Coordinate and communicate project workloads with discipline leaders and other members of the mechanical group.
- Coordinate work with other in-house disciplines as applicable.
- Work under supervision of discipline leaders.
- May function as a Project Manager depending on experience.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Knowledge of national, state, and local codes as they pertain to mechanical systems.
- Ability to relate to building constructio n, their components in three dimensions, and interact with other disciplines to coordinate all document efforts.
- Understanding of materials, systems, and commercial building construction.
- Strong interpersonal and written communication skills.
- Demonstrated ability to meet multiple deadlines on multiple projects.
- Experience working with HVAC software such as Trane Trace.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Office.

Requirements
- Minimum of 5 years of experience designing mechanical systems.
- P.E. license preferred.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field preferred.
