ALC Logistics is the transportation and logistics software division of the Allen Lund Company. ALC Logistics provides a cutting-edge logistics platform (TMS) that was developed to improve the way companies run their supply chains. At ALC Logistics, we understand that as organizations look to increase revenue, they also introduce a high level of complexity and risk to their supply chains. Each company we work with presents a unique set of supply chain challenges, and our software applications must be flexible enough to adapt appropriately. Built on Enterprise Class Oracle systems, our web-based applications are devoted to helping companies simplify, optimize, and automate their supply chains.

We are looking for a TMS Solutions Architect to join our team! The TMS Solutions Architect’s primary responsibility is being the primary point of contact for implementation, ongoing support, and execution of various supply chain and logistics solutions that are provided to our customers. The ALC Logistics Team is made up of a diverse group of hardworking and talented individuals. You will:

  1. Take on a lead role to implement various logistics solutions after the sale is complete.
  2. Gather any necessary business requirements from clients and translate them effectively to the various technical and support teams required.
  3. Coordinate with clients in completing customization according to their needs and industry best practices.
  4. Assist in the coordination of integrations with various stakeholders involved with clients’ TMS using common methods such as EDI, API, SFTP, etc.
  5. Transition client accounts from sales hand-off to go-live to post go-live support.
  6. Perform Customer help desk duties for various solutions.
  7. Aid Technical teams in the design, development, and deployment of TMS and other supply chain applications.
  8. Identify best practices to give customers and carriers performance management tools to better understand and monitor current performance and plan future business strategies.
  9. Gather and understand system requirements, and support the development of solutions to meet customer, business, and end-user needs.
  10. Provide business intelligence and services that help customers plan, understand, and manage financial and operational performance.
  11. Work with technical team(s) to create internal and external proprietary logistics solutions.
  12. Assist in the integration of varied and emerging technologies as they evolve.
  13. Support ALC Logistics Customers with data analysis and reporting activities to support short-term and long-term strategic plans and operating budgets.
  14. Collect, organize, monitor, and evaluate operational, service, and performance data through reporting tools and regular communication.
  15. Support management in conducting research and analysis of financial data needed in business unit planning, budgeting, cost control, expense performance comparisons, and project control.
  16. Assist management and operations in measuring, defining, and analyzing data needed for informed decision-making that impacts future results.
  17. Provide and maintain historical, current, and prospective data and analyses.

Skills and Experience:

  • Working in a Customer Service Type role, preferably one that relates to software support.
  • Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Basic knowledge of Postman, Notepad++, and SQL.
  • Prior experience with various B2B web-based or on-premise applications like CRM, TMS, ERP, WMS, or Ticketing systems.
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills.
  • Strong organizational, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
