Fund Accountant

Fund Accountant Description:

A leading Private Credit firm is looking to bring on a Fund Accountant to their team in their Miami office. The Fund Accountant will play a critical role in the financial operations of the firm's investment funds, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and transparency.

Fund Accountant Primary responsibilities:

• Responsible for a set of funds that includes recording transactions, reconciling cash and positions daily
• Work in various bank accounts that includes cash movements between entities
• Preparing quarterly/annual financial statements
• Preparing capital call and distribution notices
• Maintaining and updating various schedules relating to the portfolio and fund performance metrics quarterly/annual
• Assisting in process improvements and implementations
• Preparing adhoc reports
• Preparing quarterly/annual regulatory filings
• Preparing capital account statements
• Responding to investor inquiries
• Assisting with the annual audits
• Must be proficient in Excel

Fund Accountant Desired Skills & Experience:

• The candidate must have 2-4 years of public/private experience.
• BA/BS in Accounting/Finance
• CPA certification or progress towards CPA preferred.
• Must have experience with financial statements and working in an accounting software, FIS Investran a plus
• Public accounting or private equity/debt background a plus
• Willing to work in a fast-paced environment with the ability to multi-task
