Procurement Specialist

Vaco Boston has partnered with a leading manufacturing company North of Boston. The Procurement team is looking to bring on a Senior Procurement Specialist. This would be a hybrid position looking for someone to start ASAP. Please reach out for a full job description and immediate consideration
Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and build strong relationships with suppliers.
• Negotiate costs and contracts with suppliers.
• Work cross-functionally with various departments.
• Maintain purchase contracts, confidentiality agreements, and purchase/price files.
• Approve pricing for order requisitions to suppliers.
• Support production planning to ensure delivery of raw material/supplies.
• Assist with customer quality assessments and audits.
• Analyze trends in the market.
• Maintain SAP system, RFQ issue and Quote review requirements
• Ability to analyze cost calculation and cost drivers and use them to evaluate, develop and delivery cost reduction strategies
• Negotiate pricing with suppliers and process quotations
• Establish logical new model cost targets
• Achieve cost targets through effective supplier selection and negotiation

Qualifications:
• Bachelor's Degree or equivalent work experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.
• Experience with Oracle, Microsoft D365 or another MRP application.
