The City is seeking an experienced and visionary leader to serve as its next City Manager. This is an exciting opportunity to lead one of the nation's largest and most dynamic cities, oversee a diverse and talented workforce, manage a multi-billion-dollar budget, and implement policies and programs shaping the city's future. Appointed by the Mayor and Council, the City Manager serves as the Chief Executive Officer of the city and is responsible for leading the daily operations of the municipal government, implementing policies and directives established by the Mayor and Council, and ensuring the effective, efficient, and responsive delivery of services to Dallas residents.

The City of Dallas will offer a market competitive base salary and benefits depending on qualifications and experience. Relocation assistance will be available for the successful out-of-area candidate; residency within the city limits required.
A bachelor’s degree in public administration, business administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university. At least fifteen (15) years of progressively responsible professional experience leading a large, multi-service organization, of which five (5) must have been in a senior leadership role. A master’s degree and related professional certification is desired but not required. Candidates with leadership experience in all sectors and industries, particularly those in positions that have interacted with and understand how local government operates, are encouraged to apply.
