Job Title: Sr UX Designer

As a Sr UX Designer on Employee Journeys, you will be responsible for creating, defining, and envisioning innovative experiences for Amazon’s 2 million global employees, focusing on Joining, Manager, and administrative experiences.

You will partner with research and/or drive research yourself and provide design oversight for a pod of designers. In this role, you will be reviewing designs and concepts regularly with customers, cross-functional partners, executives, and stakeholders. You will be expected to educate on your design decisions and back them up with data/customer insights.

Responsibilities:

  • Strategize and design elegant and intuitive experiences by understanding customer needs, business requirements, and technical constraints.
  • Lead the planning and strategic phases of a project, proactively pitching new CX ideas.
  • Create user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity mockups for mobile and web interfaces.
  • Independently deliver UX solutions for complex problems, adapting your approach to meet stakeholder needs.
  • Champion user-centered design by partnering with researchers to test solutions and conducting user testing.
  • Present design work to UX, Product, and Engineering teams, stakeholders, and executive leadership.
  • Contribute to user experience design guidelines and development best practices.
  • Mentor and lead other designers.
  • Partner with cross-functional UX peers to build seamless experiences.
  • Apply scrum to visual or UX design processes.
  • Deliver design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity.

Minimum Qualifications:

  • 6+ years of design experience.
  • Have an available online portfolio.
  • Experience with design tools such as Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign; prototyping in HTML, JavaScript, CSS, Ajax.

Compensation:

The base pay for this position ranges from $127,100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211,600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on various factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
