Our client is a nationally ranked academic medical center and teaching hospital located in downtown Chicago , Illinois . The hospital provides a total of 900 inpatient beds and encompasses more than 3 million square feet of medical building space.

They have an immediate need for a Director for their World Class Oncology department. The position will oversee 100+ beds, 3 floors and have 3 managers reporting to it! It is also one of only 47 NCI designated Comprehensive Cancer Centers in the United States !

Maintains current knowledge of industry trends, patient care delivery systems and innovations. Serves as change agent when patient care work/workflow is redesigned. Engages in leadership development, mentorship, and succession planning. Demonstrates reflective leadership and an understanding that all leadership begins from within s teams effectively through organizational change. Professionalism, Establishes own development plan and tracks progress towards goals. Maintains active membership in professional organization and encourages others. Models the image of nursing within the profession, organization, and community.

Required:

· Masters of Science Degree in Nursing or related field.

· Relevant leadership experience with progressive responsibilities in management/administration.

· Current licensure to practice professional nursing in Illinois or eligible
