Devops Engineer

Duration: 11 months contract

Job Description:

• Cloud DevOps Automation Engineer with Cloud Database Experience (PostgreSQL)
• 5+ years DevOps experience with AWS Cloud services w/ strong familiarity with automating cloud databases like AWS RDS PostgreSQL and AWS Aurora PostgreSQL.
• Ability to write scripts (e.g. in Python) to to create snapshots of specific databases within an RDS instance and for rehydrating those snapshots in other DB instances.
• Candidate will create mechanisms and workflows for doing granular backups of specific databases within an RDS/AURORA instance and allow for rehydrating those backups.
• Candidate should have ability to work in GitOps pipelines and develop automation approaches.
• Candidate will be willing to propose solutions that leverage AWS serverless solutions as well as help design database solution that optimize availability, cost, performance dimensions.

Education:

Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
