Cardiac Sonographer - Noninvasive Cardiac Testing, Part-Time

They have engaged us to find a top Cardiac Sonographer to work days in one of the top facilities in the Midwest. The selected candidate will see in and outpatient populations.
The duties will include:
- Coordinating communications among referring physicians, departmental physicians and staff, nursing units and/or hospital staff to facilitate smooth patient and staff flow in order to facilitate inpatient transportation, scheduling, supply replenishment, equipment repair, and problem-solving.
- Becoming knowledgeable in the areas of laboratory protocol, measuring heart chamber size and wall thickness, scanning techniques, preliminary interpretation of M-mode, two-dimensional, planar Doppler flow studies, 3D echo, and stress echoes.
- Demonstrating an ongoing commitment to learning color flow mapping and newer procedures and mastering them within acceptable time frames.
- Fulfilling reading requirements associated with procedures to ensure a better understanding of the purpose of procedures and how to conduct preliminary interpretations of procedure results.
Qualifications:
Required:
- Two or more years of experience performing echocardiography exams. NEW GRADS will not be considered.
- RDCS or RCS certification.
Preferred:
- Five or more years of experience performing echocardiography exams.
- Bachelor’s degree in a health science field.
- ACLS and CPR certifications.
