Spring Office - Medical Assistant

Dynamic medical office is in search of an EXPERIENCED family practice back office Medical Assistant to assist providers in the examination and treatment of their patients in compliance with State practice Acts and Regulations.  This position is a full-time position for our Conroe, Texas and Spring, Texas locations.
Essential Job Duties

  • Greet and interview patients upon arrival.
  • Measure vital signs such as pulse rate, temperature, blood pressure, weight, and height.
  • Properly record information in the patient’s electronic medical record
  • Prepare treatment rooms and patients for examination.
  • Clean and sterilize instruments.
  • Inventory and order medical supplies and materials
  • Perform EKG and other machines to administer routine diagnostic tests.
  • Give injections and/or treatments.
  • Perform routine laboratory tests.
  • Schedule patient appointments
  • Make follow-up calls to patients.
  • Assist physician or PA/NP in preparing for minor surgeries and physical exams.
  • Perform administrative office tasks.
  • Complete appropriate client company and OSHA regulation forms
  • Provide assistance at the Front Desk
  • Key data into computer to maintain clinic and patient records.
  • Scan documents and attach to patient’s electronic medical records.
  • Prepare and follow-up on Prior Authorizations and/or referrals.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

Required

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Graduate of an accredited Medical Assistant program
  • Current healthcare professional level CPR certification
  • Family Medical Practice experience a plus
  • Knowledge of internet software, spreadsheet software, and word processing software
  • Knowledge and experience with electronic medical records; specifically, eClinicals a plus!
  • Must be a team player.
  • Polite, friendly, and professional manner required.
  • Must be accurate and detail oriented.
  • Must have a proven history of being dependable at previous employment.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) a plus!
