The SAP/IBP Senior Business Analyst will be a core member of James Hardie SCM IT Team while working closely with our SCM business organization and driving continuous improvement through business partnerships to develop timely and innovative sustainable ‘end to end’ solutions. This involves collaboration with other SAP functional and development teams to design, develop, test, and implement appropriate configuration within SAP ECC PP, SAP APO and SAP IBP to meet business requirements in the manufacturing area. This role will primarily focus on functional enhancements and global project implementations but will also provide production support.


What You'll Do:

The SAP Sr BA works with key business users to gather business requirements; designs and develops solutions; creates blueprints, functional specs and performs Unit/integration testing. They will be responsible for successful global template technical solution implementation, meeting full value realization across all Supply Chain planning functions at James Hardie.


Enhancements and Projects Support:

  1. Partnering with Business Stakeholders to identify opportunities to optimize existing processes and technology as well as assessing new technologies and business solutions.
  2. Supporting Stakeholders to develop ‘ROI’ and ‘business cases’ for project reviews and approval.
  3. Writing clear, complete functional specifications from business requirements for development Team.
  4. Create and design training and process documentation for new functionality and projects for end user training.
  5. Participate in project management by managing small to medium size projects from definition through implementation.
  6. Communicate issues, enhancement, project status to business stakeholders and management.

Continuous Improvement:

  1. Works closely with the Supply Chain Business teams to recommend business process changes based on knowledge of SAP and best business practices by:
  • Researching and identifying appropriate SAP solutions to optimize and increase adoption.
  • Using past experiences and knowledge of SAP to support processes and design to improve Supply Chain planning functions.
  • Collaborating with Business stakeholders and functional SAP teams to deliver new business process and or SAP functionality.
  • Assisting users in determining the best methods for data reporting, either via standard reports, SAP query, custom programs, or BI analytics.
  • Keeps updated with future releases of SAP IBP to propose and leverage new functionalities.

  • Production Support:

    1. Provides ongoing business support for Applications in Supply Chain planning area by:
    • Becoming familiar with existing SAP design and enhancements as well as 3rd party applications.
    • Analyzing problem tickets through root cause analysis, and determining appropriate solutions.
    • Updating configuration and as needed working with developers to modify programs and ensuring adequate end user testing and acceptance of all SAP SCM planning.
  • Coordinating support escalation, communication with business, service desk, and technical teams.
  • Supporting cross-functional issues investigation, testing, and resolution.
  • Researching issues in SAP OSS and implementation of OSS notes.
  • Interfacing with internal / external auditors during SOX audits.
  • Ensure that all IS Helpdesk SLAs and metrics are adhered to.
  • Responsible for performing relevant tests prior to new IBP releases are applied in Production.

    What You'll Bring:

    1. Minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience with design, configuration and implementation of SAP IBP and SAP APO solutions.
    2. Implementation experience in the following IBP modules: S&OP, Demand Planning, Response and Supply Planning, Replenishment planning.
    3. Implementation experience of APO SNP, Deployment, TLB and PPDS.
    4. Functional knowledge of Supply Chain Management including material flow, information flow and financial flow.
    5. Knowledge of data integration between ECC, APO and IBP.
    6. Knowledge in ECC supply chain modules like MM, SD and PP is preferred.
    7. Experience in ECC and APO Master and Transaction Data including Material Master, Production BOMs, Production Versions, Routings, Resources, Transportation Lanes,…
    8. Need to be able to translate business requirements and architect sustainable solutions.
    9. Knowledge or experience with technical development objects and understand how they interact with SAP (Reports, Interfaces, Customizations, Enhancements, and Forms).
    10. Experience with SAP upgrades, enhancement packs and migrations.
    11. Exposure to S/4 HANA a plus.
    12. Demonstrated understanding of all aspects of a full life cycle implementation.
    13. Ability and willingness to travel up to 10%.
    14. Bachelors Degree required. Degree must be from an accredited institution.
