Patent Agent

Our client is looking for an experienced Patent Agent with a strong background in biotechnology to support our clients in protecting their innovative inventions. You will play a key role in drafting, filing, and prosecuting patent applications while collaborating with scientists and legal professionals to navigate the complexities of biotech patents.

Key Responsibilities:

• Draft and prosecute patent applications for biotechnological inventions.
• Conduct prior art searches and provide assessments of patentability.
• Collaborate with inventors and R&D teams to understand and document inventions.
• Advise clients on IP strategy, patent portfolio management, and regulatory considerations.
• Communicate with patent offices and respond to office actions effectively.
• Stay informed on the latest developments in biotechnology and patent law.

Qualifications:

• Advanced degree (Ph.D. preferred) in Biotechnology, Molecular Biology, or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Patent Agent
• Registered to practice before the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO).
• Proven experience in drafting and prosecuting patent applications in the biotech field.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
