Country Lead - Talent Development

Responsibilities include:

  • Accountability for creation, planning, budgeting and implementation of learning & development interventions as well as Campus Hiring for Sri Lanka.
  • Overseeing and being accountable for the talent development and the Campus Hiring team.

Learning & Development:

  • Connecting with business and functional leaders to capture the learning needs at an SBU/Function level.
  • Overseeing and being accountable for multiple initiatives, programs, and services with strategic alignment across Business and Functions across the location.
  • Interfacing with and influencing stakeholders including business/functional leaders, HR leaders, and/or program participants on a frequent basis.
  • Following up with stakeholders on learning path progress on various interventions across Technical, Behavioral, and Domain areas.
  • Developing a strategy for Learning & Development at a country level to align with global business objectives and technical transformation needs.
  • Partnering with COEs/academies to implement scalable learning roadmaps in the organization.
  • Partnering with COEs/academies to implement learning solutions that drive the forward strategy to produce a culture of learning.
  • Overseeing Learning & Development impact measurement and reporting trend analysis to key stakeholders.
  • Collaborating with the relevant global and location leadership/stakeholders in leadership pipeline assessment & succession planning rollouts.

Campus Hiring:

  • Partnering with universities and educational institutes to ensure Virtusa is a top-of-mind employer amongst undergraduates/graduates.
  • Connecting with academia to facilitate opportunities for Virtusa to be involved in curriculum development and provide input to enhance academic output.
  • Identifying business demands for particular skill-sets and working with universities/education institutes to build a pipeline of talent.
  • Ensuring new hires from campus are “ready now” with updated skillsets – both technical and behavioral.
  • Executing and maintaining structured internship programs.

Desired Profile:

  • Bachelor’s/Master’s degree with 15+ years of experience and a proven track record in a fast-paced technology environment. Ideal candidate will also have at least 5 years of experience in Leadership Development.
  • Able to consult multiple levels within the organization to assess talent development needs and propose viable frameworks for continued talent pipeline enrichment.
  • Able to articulate and be a persuasive communicator across multiple levels in the organization and externally with key stakeholders.
  • Goal-oriented self-starter and able to flex to changing business needs and priorities.
  • Able to maintain a global mindset with a strong collaborative approach with peers and stakeholders.
  • Ability to influence stakeholders by providing meaningful insights.
