Palace Construction is looking for a full time Estimator in Denver, Colorado E-mail Resumes to Check us out online at Salary range is $85,000 - $120,000General Be accountable to assigned and necessary tasks; and hold others accountable as applicable Professionally and ethically represent the company at work and at social functions Support and participate in tasks related to business development, sales, marketing, and preconstruction efforts for project pursuit as required Foster a positive and collaborative environment Foster strong trade partner relationships Engage in team building Embrace the core values and company culture Proactively train, coach, and mentor direct reports and others as appropriatePreconstruction Manage the estimating process including the development of necessary estimates at any design stage and reviewing of all documentation, site conditions, existing information, and other related information Participate in constructability reviews and ensure issues are documented and addressed with the appropriate consultant Work with estimating staff and other available resources to ensure delivery of fair, accurate, and timely estimates, life-cycle analyses, variance reports, value enhancement studies, and other deliverables as appropri Identify and manage all preconstruction deliverables in a proactive and timely manner - assist with and perform tasks as needed Solicit expertise from appropriate operations staff as necessary to ensure the strategy implemented during preconstruction is aligned with the strategy with which the project will be performed Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, trade partners, and vendors Review all aspects of the estimate to ensure completeness and accuracy Ensure estimate workbooks are reviewed and error checked prior to publishing Ensure qualifications within the estimate are consistent with the intent of the estimate and clearly indicate any instance where the qualifications cause the estimate to deviate from the contract documents Include considerations in the estimate for all items related to meeting all equal opportunity, diversity, and inclusion requirements for the project - whether specifically stated or inherently implied Participate in project hand-off meetings between preconstruction and project operation teamSafety & Quality Support the expectations and methodology outlined within the Palace QAQC Program and consider specific impacts/benefits to the project's QAQC Plan during the decision-making process - document appropriate impacts and benefits and share with the operations team Ensure that aspects of the QAQC Plan that relate to the preconstruction process are documented appropriately Understand Palace safety requirements and maintain a consideration of these expectations while managing the preconstruction process - base cost and time parameters with consideration to the means and methods as appropriateScheduling Proactively participate in project schedule development, reviews, and updates to ensure compliance with all expectations of the client Ensure that the project estimate's durations and general conditions are coordinated with the cost, intended means and methods, and other factors related to the performance of the project scopeFinance / Risk Management Participate and support the trade partner prequalification process Review, comment and participate in the development and negotiations of the owner contract Review cost estimates with relation to any correlating client expectations, contract language, known constraints, and other risk factors as applicable to ensure risk is mitigated Understand owner and trade partner insurance and bonding parameters and how they relate to the cost and schedule parameters of the estimateRequirements Expert in the construction process from concept to completion. High level of understandi g of the estimating process for all market sectors and delivery methods listed. Capable of budgeting at a high level / conceptual level Must be detailed and capable of detailing out estimates from conceptual level through CD level of design document.
