Title: Purchasing and Materials Manager

Location: Orangeberg, SC

Pay: $80-120K

Bonus: Target of 22%

What We’re Looking For:

  • Bachelor’s degree (MBA desirable).
  • 8+ years of experience in the integrated functions of materials management in a manufacturing environment that has embraced lean concepts, MRP manufacturing practices, and progressive supplier relationships.
  • Experience in operations, inventory management, MRP, scheduling, and lean manufacturing processes.
  • Experience with visual management systems.


What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Main responsibilities will be for materials management, planning strategy, Inventory Control, and material flow for the site.
  • Ensures optimization of materials management activities including purchasing, scheduling, inventory planning, supplier performance measurement, and indirect materials management, and logistics.
  • Responsible for the implementation, support and compliance of the Material standards including but not limited to SIOP, PSI, Cycle counting, Inventory planning processes and systems to facilitate flow from order management production planning to material procurement to shipping.
  • Facilitates interaction with Sourcing, Engineering, Accounting, Marketing, Material operations and Quality Assurance in support of the business’s strategic goals.
  • Develop and drive countermeasures for underperforming key processes and/or material suppliers.
  • Manage suppliers, materials and inventory in a manner consistent with the requirements of a Lean Six-Sigma manufacturing environment.
