Qualifications:

1. B.S.C.E degree
2. Minimum 10 years of experience in traffic engineering
3. Knowledge of traffic modeling and software (VISSIM, VISUM, HCS, Synchro/SimTraffic, CORSIM, Quickzone)
4. Experience in design of traffic control devices, including signals, signing, maintenance, pavement markings, and lighting
5. Familiarity with AASHTO, MUTCD, Highway Capacity Manual, and Highway Safety Manual
6. Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, and Professional Traffic Operations Engineer (PTOE) certification a plus
7. Experience with PennDOT projects and MicroStation/AutoCAD preferred
8. Proficient in Microsoft Office
9. Excellent communication, technical writing, and organizational skills
10. Positive attitude and team player mentality

Responsibilities:

1. Manage and design projects related to traffic signals, signing, markings, lighting, and ITS devices
2. Conduct traffic safety and operations studies
3. Use traffic modeling software to develop solutions
4. Perform quality control reviews
5. Assist with marketing and business development
6. Mentor and develop junior staff
7. May require working at client sites
