Chemours is seeking a Laboratory Technician to join our Quality Control team. This position will report directly to the Laboratory Manager in our DeLisle, Mississippi location.
Conduct safe, reliable, and efficient receipt, preparation, measurement, data entry, and storage of all lab samples in support of site Operations, Quality, Environmental, Safety, and R&D functions
Perform routine reviews of daily lab data for accuracy, developing a basic understanding of plant processes and products
Assist with inventory management of lab consumables and basic maintenance of lab equipment
Perform routine lab inspections and audits, maintain housekeeping/5S throughout the lab
Constantly strive to work safely and accident-free, always following established safety procedures and wearing applicable PPE (personal protective equipment)
Constantly strive to achieve 100% first-time/first-pass sample throughput, consistently following documented procedures
Ability to work days and nights on a rotating 12-hour shift schedule, including weekends.
Proficiency with computers and Windows operating system

Prior work experience in a lab environment
An Associate degree or greater in a science field
Basic proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel applications
Experience using laboratory information management systems (LIMS) software
