Job Description

We are seeking an exceptional senior quantitative developer to design and build the infrastructure for a multi-asset class trading system.

Location : Berkeley, CA

Principal Responsibilities

  1. Design and implement a reliable, efficient and agile automated trading system
  2. Mentor younger software engineers in the team
  3. Maintain and improve production systems once live
  4. Assist in designing and maintaining tools for the systematic trading infrastructure of the team
  5. Perform data analysis and generate live and historical analytical reports
  6. Stay current on state-of-the-art technologies and tools including technical libraries, computing environments and academic research
  7. Collaborate with the SPM and the trading group in a transparent environment, engaging with the whole investment process

Preferred Technical Skills

  1. Expert in Python
  2. Proficient in modern data science tools stacks (Jupyter, pandas, numpy, sklearn)
  3. Proficient in quantitative analysis and mathematical modelling
  4. Proficient in software development methodologies: version control systems, unit testing and debugging tools
  5. Excellent communication, problem-solving, and analytical skills
  6. Bachelor, Master’s, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Mathematics, Statistics or related STEM field

Preferred Experience

  1. 5+ years of experience in algorithmic trading systems development, preferably development of new trading systems from scratch
  2. Mentoring/Managing experience
  3. Experience working across larger asset universes and with a variety of data sets
  4. Experience building out quantitative tools for research
  5. Demonstrate excellent communication, analytical and quantitative skills
