Job Summary
The Rustandy Center’s mission is to advance research, promote innovation, and develop the people and practices to accelerate solving the social problems confronting our world. This position focuses on supporting the Rustandy Center’s program goals to 1) equip Booth students and alumni to increase their social impact by applying their business and management skills, knowledge, and experience; and 2) be the leading university-based launch pad and knowledge center for the next generation of social entrepreneurs and the people who fund them.

The Associate Director of Programs and Data Strategy manages the design, planning, and administration for multiple Rustandy Center programs and oversees the development and overall quality of event and program data processes. Responsibilities include strategic planning, program development, event execution, research, and stakeholder engagement for both established and new programs. It is based on the Hyde Park campus with occasional events and meetings downtown and throughout the Chicagoland area.

Responsibilities

  • Leads designing, planning and execution of multiple student- and alumni-facing social sector engagement programs.
  • Designs and develops events, experiential programming, and content to engage students and alumni in the social sector.
  • Evaluates and researches student and alumni needs, prospective partners’ interests, and trends at the intersection of business and the social sector.
  • In partnership with the Assistant Director for Events, manages all aspects of event execution.
  • Works with the marketing team to promote events, programs and other social sector engagement opportunities.
  • Oversees the program team’s usage of the Airtable platform.
  • Seeks input and feedback from program team colleagues and Center leadership.
  • Leads programming developed with executives in residence.
  • Initiates and develops relationships with community organizations and businesses.
  • Develops and facilitates relevant workshops and programming.
  • Acts as a primary liaison and resource for social impact associated students.
  • Provides administrative support to other Rustandy Center programs and activities.
  • Gathers actionable information regarding program outreach, quality, and attendance.
  • Completes special projects to support Center leadership as needed.
  • Markets student activities programming throughout the year.
  • Performs other related work as needed.

Minimum Qualifications

Education: Minimum requirements include a college or university degree in related field.

Work Experience: Minimum requirements include knowledge and skills developed through 5-7 years of work experience in a related job discipline.

Preferred Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree.

Experience:

  • At least four years of experience managing programs, events and/or organizations.
  • Experience designing, leading, and delivering social impact programs.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in establishing, managing, and continually refining data-related processes.
  • Background working with diverse campus constituencies, local communities, and external stakeholders.

Technical Skills or Knowledge:

  • Demonstrated MS Office expertise.

Working Conditions

  • This position is currently expected to work a minimum three days per week in the office.
  • Travel between Hyde Park campus and downtown Gleacher Center.
  • Occasionally work late or start early for Rustandy Center events.
