Our innovative practice model allows our providers to focus on patient care while our administrative teams provide full support handling billing, collections, contracting, quality improvement and marketing. Ideal candidates will have a passion for working collaboratively to provide comprehensive and compassionate care to our patients - from newborns to adolescents and contribute to our ongoing work in behavioral health integration.

The Supervisor works as an integral part of the multidisciplinary clinics, and acts as a liaison between the child/family and physicians and other medical/therapy staff, in order to facilitate understanding of the family’s needs. Candidates must have knowledge of cultural disparities, inclusion, social determinants of health, mental illness, and possess skills in connecting individuals or families to community resources. Must also have skills in de-escalation techniques, customer service and possess strong communication skills.Mental/behavioral health billing and insurance verifications will be required. The ability to connect and engage and follow up with families who are in need of services and to interact with patients, patient's family members, consultants, residents, hospital personnel, community agencies, and other resources is required. Grants management and compliance experience is also required, as this position is responsible for oversight, deliverables and reporting on grants that support this program.

Duties and Essential Job Functions:

  • Provide strong leadership to a team fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement, including BH/CC billing, front desk assistant, students and program related grants.
  • Provide support to the Manager for guidance and support of team members in executing their responsibilities & meeting KPIs/Deliverables, ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members and other stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate advanced knowledge and skills in care coordination, ensuring seamless integration of healthcare services and resources.
  • Create community partnerships that are dedicated to helping children and families overcome barriers as referral sources.
  • Assist with the oversite of team member development and quality of care plans to optimize patient outcomes and enhance the quality of collaborative care.
  • When necessary, maintain a reduced collaborative care case load and provide coverage and back up to other team members.
  • Work collaboratively with other leaders to align the collaborative care program with organizational goals and objectives, driving continuous improvement and innovation.
  • Assist with establishing, tracking and monitoring performance metrics.
  • Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, standards, and best practices, and lead efforts to continuously improve processes and outcomes to meet or exceed established benchmarks
  • Coordinates care with state agencies, schools, behavioral health agencies and community providers, to problem solve any issues and ensure effective resources are in place.
  • Oversee the insurance verification and authorization process to ensure accurate and complete insurance information is obtained for all patients. This includes verifying insurance coverage, obtaining pre-authorizations when required, and initiating appropriate procedures to maintain up-to-date insurance information.
  • Supervise billing ensuring proper use of the new Collaborative Care Model (CoCM) CPT codes correctly, including 99492, 99493, 99494, and G2214, to accurately bill for services provided under the collaborative care model. This involves training staff on proper code usage and ensuring compliance with billing requirements.
  • Responsible for on time, accurate grant reporting and analytics.
  • Other duties as assigned

License/Certification/Education:

Bachelors degree from an accredited College or University in a human services related field is required. Master’s Degree or Licensed Clinical Professional preferred.


Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 2 years of experience in case management or service coordination required.
  • A minimum of 1 years of experience in a supervisory role or 5 years of experience in a directly related or lead role
  • Knowledge of regulations and laws relating to clinical psychology/social work practices and healthcare industry.
  • Experience with Grant compliance and oversight
  • Experience with behavioral health and mental health conditions
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to communicate effectively with families, colleagues (e.g. physicians, psychologists, social workers, and other team members), community agencies, etc.
  • Proficiency in behavioral health billing and insurance verification.
  • Working knowledge of basic computer software programs: MS Office and EMR.
