American Starlinger-Sahm, Inc. is seeking a Installation/Service Technician. This is a challenging growth opportunity in an expanding international environment.

Starlinger is a world market leader in the field of machinery and process technology for woven plastic bags and offers the greatest scope of machines and lines worldwide. The product portfolios of Starlinger recycling technology and Starlinger viscotec business units comprise machinery solutions for the recycling and refining of plastics such as PE, PP, PA, PS, BOPP and PET (food-grade). The viscotec PET sheet lines produce food-grade PET sheet made of up to 100 % recycled PET.
Training will be in our Technology Center in Fountain Inn, SC as well as at our manufacturing facility in Austria. Training will be under the guidance of experienced technicians.
Job Duties and responsibilities:
· Installation and commissioning of Starlinger machines in US and Canada.
· Training customer’s personnel on proper and safe operation, service of the machine.
· Troubleshoot and repair all issues including electrical, mechanical, software or process either remotely or onsite.
· Communicate frequently with technical and service team (US based and Austria).
· Perform trials and quality tests at the technical center.
Requirements:
· Able to travel over 50%, both domestic and international.
· Experience in polymer and plastics processing is preferred but not required.
· Ability to read schematics and blueprints (electrical and mechanical).
· Able to troubleshoot electrical and electronic components.
· Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interact with the customer effectively.
