Job Overview:

We are looking for a Part-Time or Fractional Risk Management professional to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for helping to develop the governance and program management necessary to identify, evaluate, mitigate, and monitor the company's operational and strategic risk. You will focus on helping the company to implement and develop leading risk management practices that will enable our organization to make risk-effective decisions that create and sustain value.

You will report to the Chief Financial Officer and will be the liaison for reporting findings and status to senior executives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop Risk Management tools, practices, and policies to analyze and report enterprise risks, and to manage risks according to an enterprise risk management framework.
  • Ensure the organization's risk management policies and strategies are compliant with applicable regulations, rating agency standards, and strategic imperatives of the organization.
  • Define the risk management architecture for the company.
  • Monitor and analyze risks within the company's business units.
  • Establish metrics and develop reporting scorecards to evaluate business on adherence to overall risk management strategy
  • Promote the importance of data privacy by implementing protocols that ensure accountability in the use and access of data.
  • Provide key inputs into the company's enterprise risk and ensure alignment with organizational objectives.
  • Develop data governance policies and compliance standards in collaboration with the Security and Legal departments
  • Advocate for the significance of data privacy by establishing procedures that incorporate accountability in the utilization and access of data.

Qualifications:

  • BS Degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics or relevant field.
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in risk management, data governance or similar leadership role
  • Strong working knowledge and experience with PCI-DSS, SOX, and SOC1
  • In-depth understanding of operational risk including Operational Risk Policy, Framework & Program elements such as RCSAs, KRIs, Scenario Analysis, Loss Analytics
  • Experience conducting risk assessments across multiple technology platforms, including cloud and data center
  • Deep understanding and ability to implement best practices in the industry
  • Strong experience establishing metrics and developing scorecards to measure success and areas for improvement
  • Business process understanding (direct experience in managing a process with accountability for compliance or operational risk preferred)
  • Experience working with a GRC platform preferred
  • Interpret security policies & provide guidance to IT and development organizations to establish and achieve compliance standards
  • Basel II operational risk management knowledge preferred
