Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Registered Nurse to join our team at the University of New Mexico - Hospitals. As a Registered Nurse, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality patient care and contributing to the success of our healthcare team.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver safe and effective direct care to patients, adhering to hospital policies and procedures.
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to implement and document individualized care plans, incorporating age-specific considerations.
- Participate in orientation and assume precepting and evaluation responsibilities of new personnel.
- Assist with special tests and procedures, ensuring proper consent has been obtained.
- Administer medication, including IV medication, via the Seven Rights, and document and communicate clinical findings.
Requirements
- Education: Essential - Nationally Accredited Nursing Graduate, Nonessential - Bachelor's Degree.
- Experience: Essential - 1 year directly related experience, Nonessential - Bilingual English, Spanish, Keres, Tewa, Tiwa, Towa, Zuni, or Navajo.
- Credentials: Essential - CPR for Healthcare/BLS Prov or Prof Rescuers w/in 30 days, RN in NM or as allowed by reciprocal agreement by NM.
Working Conditions
Heavy Work: Exerting 50 to 100 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 25 to 50 pounds of force frequently, and/or 10 to 20 pounds of force constantly to move objects or people.
Working conditions: Essential - Sig Hazard: Chemicals, Bio Hazardous Materials req PPE.
