Job Description: Provide support to our existing clients by answering technical questions and assisting with issues that may arise related to our integrations. Execute software development techniques on new and existing applications. Research and develop new 3rd party applications to integrate with and provide support to other Flywire teams integrating with our team’s applications. Design, build and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Ensure the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of the integration by performing load tests, continuous tests, and conducting code reviews. Contribute to all phases of the development lifecycle. Work collaboratively with teams across the globe. Help fellow developers to continue growing their skills. Draft clean, high quality, testable, secure, maintainable, and extendable code. Solve issues including challenging bugs and production complications within the development environment. Exercise judgment in selecting methods, techniques, and evaluation criteria for obtaining results. Telecommuting permissible from any location in the U.S.

Requirements:

  1. Bachelor’s degree or foreign degree equivalent in Computer Science or related field and three (3) years of experience in Software Development or in the job offered or related role.
  2. Java versions 8, 11. Develop in Java, using lambda functions, streams, iterables to deliver high-volume, low-latency applications to meet the business needs;
  3. Apache Tomcat; run Java web archive files to tomcat servers. Package and deploy WAR files;
  4. Hibernate JPA; connecting to database repositories from Java based applications to effectively perform transactions using hibernate;
  5. RESTful web services, focusing on speed, security, and reusability;
  6. Spring Boot; deploy and develop using spring boot Java applications.
  7. Web environment, configurations, and customizations needed to prepare a production ready application;

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $101,000/year - $188,000/year plus restricted stock units and benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, position level, and location. The range displayed on this job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and several other factors, including job-related skills, experience, relevant education and training.
