This position is responsible for partnering with the President & CEO as a member of the senior leadership team and will report to the CFO. The Executive Vice President of Finance will be responsible for all financial reporting, internal controls, and external reporting. The EVP of Finance will also be responsible for financial planning and analysis functions. The EVP of Finance will assist the CFO with negotiating the credit and other debt facilities and evaluating the IT function. The EVP of Finance will also assist the CFO and SVP of Business Development with acquisition negotiation, structure, and integration.
The EVP of Finance will work with the CFO on a transition approach so that the EVP of Finance can assume the CFO's responsibilities over a 2- to 3-year period.
Responsibilities of Position:
- The EVP of Finance will be a "hands-on" leader responsible for organizing, planning, directing, evaluating, and communicating the business's financial performance. The EVP of Finance will:
- Provide vision and leadership to the accounting and finance function.
- Lead and manage the financial accounting functions, including internal and external reporting, internal controls, compliance, and technical skills.
- Develop financial and business acumen within the finance team and throughout the organization to identify areas of opportunity for improved results.
- Lead and manage the Financial Planning and Analysis function of the business and make fiscal and strategic recommendations to the CFO and executive leadership team.
- Continuously evaluate KPIs and financial information to provide business partners with relevant trends and recommendations to improve.
- Assist the CFO with the overall evaluation of the Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) and offer advice and recommendations on critical initiatives within the IT Function.
- Assist CFO with Accounting and IT collaboration to deliver services to internal customers by consolidating, standardizing, streamlining, and automating processes.
- Assist the CFO with maintaining and optimizing the most favorable capital structure for the organization.
- Assist the CEO, CFO, and SVP of Business Development with acquisitions, including structure, terms, and integration of the acquisition.
Supervisory Responsibility:
- This position will manage 21+ employees.
- This position will oversee and direct other managers.
Skills & Abilities Needed for Position:
- Professional certification (CPA) required.
- Led or participated in financial planning and analysis teams which lead to profit optimization.
- Experience with evaluating ERP or IT lead decisions and/or participated in successful ERP implementations.
- Experience with shared service teams that drive efficiency and reporting clarity of results.
- Negotiated and/or participated in structure and terms of acquisition.
- Negotiated and/or participated in credit and debt offerings including private placements.
- Experience with valuation, structure, negotiation, and integration of successful business acquisitions.
- Experience with Enterprise Risk Management that led the organization to better assess risk and designed action and monitoring plan.
Physical Requirements in a Regular workday:
- Rarely lifting/carrying/pushing/pulling a max of 10lbs.
- Continuously sitting/standing/walking in office environment.
- Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter.
Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:
- Ability to travel between offices, as required.
- Ability to work flexible hours; expected to work nights and weekends as needed.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and/or holidays.
- Must be available for 24-hour emergency calls.
- Legally eligible to work in the United States.
- Valid driver's license (if applicable).
- Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
- Must be able to read and speak the English language.
