Project Description:

• Cloud Migration and Modernization Program focuses on establishing a shared services capability that provides the necessary architectural governance for workloads being migrated to the cloud. This initiative aims to ensure that the migration processes adhere to best practices and efficient cloud architectures across various platforms.
• The primary objective of this initiative is to enhance architectural governance during the migration of workloads to cloud environments. The initiative seeks to maintain a high standard of cloud architecture, ensuring effectiveness and compliance as organizations transition their operations to the cloud.
• Program is seeking an experienced, lead level, cloud developer and solution architect with the ability to evaluate, estimate, design, implement and document cloud centric application architectures and deployment methodologies, and generally contribute to cloud enablement and cost optimization efforts while promoting cloud architecture and DevOps best-practices.

Responsibilities:

• The candidate must be able to materially contribute to the design and implementation of varied application solutions, infrastructure-as-code (IaC), operational capabilities and DevSecOps requirements.
• The candidate must understand development and deployment workflows and be capable of providing actionable guidance and executing on application re-factoring efforts.
• This candidate will be expected to lead delivery efforts, mentor team members, and work in collaboration with other teams to meet technical requirements and committed timelines.

Mandatory Skills Description:

• • Azure - 5+ years solutioning and deploying applications in AWS
• • Lead Experience - 3+ years in a role demonstrating ability to own and drive deliverables with minimal technical guidance
• • Azure Functions / Logic Apps: Proficiency in developing serverless architectures using Azure Functions and Logic Apps.
• • Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) / Azure Container Instances: Expertise in containerized deployments, including Docker and orchestration with AKS or using Azure Container Instances.
• • Azure SQL Database / Cosmos DB: Proficient in relational and NoSQL database design and management, including Azure SQL Database and Azure Cosmos DB.
• • Networking: Strong understanding of general networking concepts and Azure virtual networking, including VNet, VPN, and ExpressRoute configurations.
• • Cloud security and recovery
• • Web services and application programming interfaces (APIs)
• • Azure Messaging and Event Streaming Services: Familiarity with Azure messaging/streaming services such as Azure Service Bus, Event Grid, and Azure Event Hubs.
• • Terraform and CloudFormation
• • CI/CD automation using GitHub/GitLab
• • Implementation of auto-scaling, cost-management techniques, and operational monitoring
• • Experience architecting for both Linux and Windows environments
• Must have significant experience with at least one (preferably two+) of the following:

• • Golang
• • Python
• • .NET / C#
• • Java

Nice-to-Have Skills Description:

• - Azure Certification(s) (verifiable)
• - Experience with alternative cloud providers (AWS, GCP)
