Brown & Brown is seeking a Commercial Lines Claims Consultant to join our growing team in Phoenix, Arizona.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers and carriers through phone calls, personal meetings, seminars, etc.
  • Work with an assigned book of customers to provide clarity on coverage matters.
  • Report losses to appropriate carriers.
  • Communicate with customers and adjusters pertaining to the handling of the claim.
  • Monitor the status of open claims.
  • Prepare loss reports and identify loss trends for customers, Customer Account Managers, Claims Consultants, and all others relevant to the claim/customer.
  • Advocate for the customer during the claims process.
  • Assist with the collection of denied claims from carriers to customers.
  • Attend training sessions, courses, etc. to maintain up-to-date skills and licensing requirements.
  • Conduct an appropriate level of confidentiality of the information processed.
  • Duties are done independently or in a team environment.
  • Other duties or special projects may be assigned.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

  • 1 - 3 years experience in Claims handling/reporting experience
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of property & casualty coverage, current legislation, rules, laws, and other regulations.
  • Proficient with MS Office, Excel & Access
  • Able to communicate effectively both written and verbally.
