Minimum qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.
- 5 years of experience testing, and launching software products, and 3 years of experience with software design and architecture.
Preferred qualifications:
- Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Experience with Machine Learning and Productive Modeling.
- Experience leading large-scale consumer facing products such as Ads, Search, Map, gMail, photos, etc.
- Experience with backend, large-scale distributed systems design.
- Experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional or cross-business projects.
- Knowledge of C++ and familiarity with front end.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical leadership on high-impact projects.
- Facilitate alignment and clarity across teams on goals, outcomes, and timelines. Work with PM/UX to make sure we can easily support their ongoing innovations.
- Ensure the servers can deliver 99.97% availability SLO, with best resource efficiency.
- Evolve the internal server architecture and the client interface with all our client engineering partner teams.
- Lead the machine learning efforts that involves modeling and optimization.
